For this assignment, I worked collaboratively with a group to accomplish a goal. The goal for this was to develop a clear, convincing and cohesive presentation on the topic of group leadership. This presentation reflected team effort, as well as our ability to be clear, well-rehearsed, and well supported through research. This presentation was based upon solid research from reputable sources.

 

 

For my Argumentation and Advocacy class, we focused on the topic of “Factory Farming” and the negative impacts it has on the environment. I performed both negative and affirmative debates on behalf of this topic which showcased my ability to present ideas ethically to an audience. Through intensive research on the subject, I learned how to become an effective advocate for the side I was presenting, as well as relying on evidence and reason and making my ideas understandable for the audience listening. Through this class and the debates I presented, I also learned how to tailor my arguments when dealing with opposition from audience members with different views.
