INTERNSHIP

PROJECTS

I am passionate about the entertainment industry and have participated in various opportunities relating to this field. Below are a few of my favorite projects.

Project | 01

LIFE OF THE PARTY | Warner Bros. Promotion

Warner Bros. created a fun competition amongst college ambassadors to bring Hollywood to one lucky college town in America. My role with this assignment was to promote school spirit on social media in order to help bring the star-studded "party" to John Carroll University. I came up with a unique and clever way of showing John Carroll's school spirit and relating it back to the film by painting t-shirts, filming a video, and posting it on social media using the hashtag created by Warner Bros #LifeofthePartyPremiere.

LIFE OF THE PARTY was promoted during John Carroll University' most popular Greek Week event, Lip Sync. Each chapter creates and performs a dance production to other Greek chapters and the student body. Kulas Auditorium is sold out to 400 students for the most anticipated event. Not only was I able to participate in Lip Sync as a member of Greek Life, but I also passed out film wrapped water bottles upon entry and offered students an opportunity to win additional promotional items and screening passes. It was a success!

During the week of finals at John Carroll University, I partnered with the Cubby, an on-campus coffee shop/hangout to create a unique and special  drink called the McCarthy Smoothie to promote LIFE OF THE PARTY. Every customer that purchased the smoothie was entered into a drawing to win a t-shirt for the film and Fandango movie passes. The baristas wore t-shirts as they worked to promote the delicious drink.

As another promotion, I collaborated with Panini's Bar and Grill, a popular bar providing grub, happy hours, and sports screens in the Cleveland area, to feature LIFE OF THE PARTY drink specials for their College ID Night. Panini's is a hot spot for local college students to attend on Thursday Nights. As a Warner Bros. Ambassador, I roamed the event wearing the pong apron and encouraged students to shoot to win a promotional item.

Peter Rabbit Movie | SONY Pictures Promotion
I traveled with another coworker to Detroit, Michigan where we promoted the film PETER RABBIT. We made appearances at radio stations, television shows, elementary schools, children's hospitals, malls, aquariums, and the Detroit Auto Show - all while dressed in a Peter Rabbit costume. I had a blast while dressed up in the costume and making children's day. I was able to bust a move and try to showcase my personality to the best of my ability behind the fur.
I also promoted the film throughout the Cleveland, Ohio area. In preparation for this costume tour, I created posters in the office with pictures of cloudy weather, snow, sunshine, and rain on them. When I wore the costume, I was able to use the posters I made and make an appearance during the weather segment on Fox 8 News. I also made an appearance at the radio stations, WQAL and WDOK, where we made an announcement about the film and took photographs with the radio hosts. To wrap up the morning, we walked around University Hospital’s Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital, handing out promotional items to children, taking photographs, and high fiving everyone in the area. As you will read, wearing costumes for films became an integral role within my job.

The Emoji Movie | SONY Pictures Promotion
As an exciting promotion, I dressed up as the High Five from THE EMOJI MOVIE during a Cleveland Indians Game at Progressive Field. I walked around alongside the Poop emoji for all nine innings. not only this, but I also premired on
Fun Fact: When I was being interviewed to be selected as a contestant for "The Price is Right" they asked me what my job was and I said I dressed up as an emoji for a movie promotion. They later told me this was why they selected me to come on stage!

RAMPAGE | Warner Bros. Promotion
As a member of Gamma Phi Beta, we hosted our  signature Moon Ball Philanthropy event to support our national philanthropic partner, Girls on the Run. Students, faculty, alumnae and community members played in a volleyball tournament against each other. I worked directly with Gamma Phi Beta's advisor in order to represent Warner Bros. at this event. I handed out RAMPAGE promotional items to attendees and provided t-shirts for the winning team.

FATHER FIGURES | Warner Bros. Promotion

I partnered with Scalper's Bar & Grille and  John Carroll University to promote Warner Bros. upcoming film FATHER FIGURES. The goal was to increase customer outreach for the film.

Scalper's Bar & Grille created a promotional wing special for the film which included 65 cent wings. A hashtag was created for the promotion, #FATHERFIGURES and #SCALPERSBARANDGRILLE, and a movie prize pack was given to individuals who posted this on their social media accounts.

John Carroll University hosted a holiday themed Christmas party. A Photo Booth was set up with exciting props which generated interest for the film. Students enjoyed company, treats, Christmas music, and holiday cheer. Promotional items were given away to students with the most Christmas spirit, craziest costume, and two special winners of Mr. & Mrs. Claus. Students were interested in the film and I was answering questions to help generate more interest.

Project | 06

GEOSTORM | Warner Bros. Promotion

My mission for the promotion of the film GEOSTORM was to do something larger than I have ever done before, in order to increase awareness for the film. I reached out to Cleveland Espresso, a coffee cart service in Cleveland, Ohio, and teamed up with them to promote the film. Our target audience for the film was teenagers and young adults, therefore we worked out a budget and decided on placing the coffee truck on Cleveland State University's campus.

Because the budget I calculated fell into an excellent range for Warner Bros, the coffee would be free for the students.

I provided GEOSTORM coffee sleeves for Cleveland Espresso, which the students then sported around campus covering their coffee cups.  It was a tremendous turnout and everyone was excited about the film. Not only this, but the truck had a television on the outside of the truck which played the trailer throughout the two hours we had the cart booked. It was awesome to see all of my hard work come together. As a bonus, Warner Bros. awarded members from around the U.S. who performed an excellent outreach for the film and I came in third place! This was a groundbreaking moment as an intern for me.

JUSTICE LEAGUE | Warner Bros. Promotion

I partnered with Panini's Bar & Grill in Coventry Village to promote the blockbuster film JUSTICE LEAGUE. I worked with Panini's to create a special drink special relating to the film for their College I.D. Frightfest Night. I handed out promotional items to college students wearing the best costumes, as well as gave them props relating to the film to pose with for photographs. Students who took a photo with the hashtags #JUSTICELEAGUE and #PANINISCOVENTRY won a movie prize pack.
